We are four students from Wellington East Girls’ College and we are doing STEM – a group that focuses on  Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. We picked the topic New Zealand's Biological Heritage and  are researching and looking into pest control. We are trying to get more Wellingtonians involved with pest control and conservation. We have a social media campaign where people can share posts about pest control, or post pictures of them doing something to do with conservation, and use the hashtag- #pestfreewellington” to be in to win passes to Zealandia and Wellington Zoo. We think that by having more people involved with pest control in their own gardens, Wellington would become a much better and safer place for our native animals.
